Coastal Cleanup - Mumbai Chapter - 2024

Event Summary:
The International Coastal Cleanup event, organized by EWB, was a resounding success. Held at Juhu Beach, the events with enthusiastic participation from 36 volunteers representing different organizations. Together, we managed to collect approximately 23kg of trash, significantly contributing to the cleanliness and preservation of the coastal environment.

During the International Coastal Cleanup at Juhu Beach, the most common types of trash collected included:

  • Plastic bottles and caps
  • Food wrappers and packaging
  • Cigarette butts
  • Plastic bags
  • Styrofoam pieces
  • Glass bottles

These items are typical of coastal litter and highlight the ongoing issue of plastic pollution in our oceans. It’s great to see efforts like this cleanup making a positive impact!
