Overview of INNO-FIESTA 2022:

Hack-Battle:
So, the hack-battle program started at around 1:30 in the afternoon and went on till 5:00  in the evening. The first phase of the hack battle was on the first day of the event, followed by phase 2 and phase 3 on the second day of the event. Themes were given to the participants a week prior to the event. The participants had to choose any one of the themes and work on any problem statement related to that theme. On the first day of the event, teams were divided according to their selected theme, and in phase one, the teams had to start working on the problem statement that was chosen by them in their selected theme. Before the start of the program, rules were given to the participants, and they were requested to follow the rules and regulations. The first phase of the Hack-Battle started and the participants started working on their problem statements with their respective groups. Then at 5, the teams had to give their first round of pitching, which included team introduction, the theme of their group, the problem statement they were working on, their solution on how they were going to find a solution, and the technologies they were using in this project. All the teams gave their pitches, and that was all about the first phase of Hack-Battle. The second phase continued on day two of the event. The second phase started from 11:00 in the morning till 12:00 in the afternoon, followed by phase 3. It was the last phase of the Hack-Battle, starting from 1:30 in the afternoon till 4:00 in the evening. In the second phase, all the teams had to give their progress on the project, challenges faced(if any), how they solved them or tried to solve them, and also how they were going to complete the project successfully, and all the teams worked really well. In the final phase of the Hack-Battle event, the team had to show their final project or the prototype of the project they had worked on for 2 days. The Hack-Battle was an amazing competition. We were pleased to witness such amazing talents on that day. Every idea and every project was innovative and had the capability to change the world.

Elocution:
Elocution plays an important role in the formation, articulation, and pronunciation of speech . It helps students  exhibit their oratory skills. Elocution competitions help students develop their self-expression and confidence. Elocution was the second major program which was conducted in parallel with the Hack-Battle event. The Hack-Battle had three phases. The first phase(SPEECH WEAVERS) was conducted on the first day of the event, and the remaining two phases, which were speech competition and debate competition, were conducted on the second day of the event. Prior to the event, before the time of registration, the participants were asked to choose any 3 topics for phase one out of 13 topics, and on day one, a random topic out of the three choices was given to the participant and they had to speak on that topic. Based on their performance, teams were divided for phase 2 and four participants were chosen to be the leads who performed better than others in phase one. Phase two continued with a group speech competition in which every participant in the group should speak on the topic selected by the group. This directed from phase two to phase three, all the teams participated in the debate competition. The debate competition was set up in such a way that each group was given the opportunity  to debate with every opposing team.

Ted-talks:

Speech is an important part of our personality because looks and beauty can only gain attraction, but speech and good language can win hearts forever. We are overwhelmed to have a ted talks session on 22nd june starting from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM by proffesor B S Murthy sir on the topic of “Pursuing dreams”. And Ted talks are started by facilitating the chief guest B S Murthy sir. And then the guest started giving his overall experience in the ted talks starting by explaining about why anyone should have dreams and how to achieve it. The respected guest had a wonderful session on  dreams which was inspiring and motivational too. And followed by ted talks our respected guest gave a chance for questions too. And the students were very eager to get answers from him and as expected Murthy sir gave some wonderful answers to the questions asked by students. And he also honored our total event.

Technical quiz:
Technical quiz was conducted from 12:00pm to 12:30pm. Technical quiz was interesting, informative, which provided excitement among the students. The main objective of this technical quiz is to check and  enhance the logical and technical abilities of participants. The quiz was purely based on different new technologies. The quiz was unique in itself as it contained questions that were related to different types of trending technology. The quiz was organized in one round. All the rules and regulations are informed before starting the quiz. All the participants actively participated in the quiz. The quiz engaged the students for half an hour. This competition helped the students to enhance their technical knowledge and the confidence to express their knowledge. All the participants enjoyed and answered the quiz making the technical quiz a great success.

Cultural night:
Dance , singing, and acting are the joy of a moment and the heart of life. The most awaited movement for the participants was cultural night. It started around 5:30pm. All the participants and students from HITAM college were requested to participate in the program. The venue was covered with beautiful lights and loud music. Traditional dance keeps a culture and history of a people alive, and folk dance is like the heart of traditional dance. So the event began with an astonishing dance performance. Next, a musical presentation made the audience feel the warmth. After that, various amazing dance and singing performances are presented.  Then a drama was staged composed by Socioqueers, a non-profitable organization working for the awareness of LGBTQIA+ community. This drama was immensely intense as it was dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community. All the audience experienced a wonderful message from this performance. After that, soothing singing performances and powerful dances were presented. All the participants made the event a bit better. The event ended with DJ Night, which was a dynamic and spirited ending to the event. The activeness and energy of all the participants made the event a huge success.

Outcome:

We just never know what’s going to happen on event day. We can put the framework in place, make sure that we’ve got every detail just so, and prepare for the worst case scenario, but once attendees start arriving, the rest is about responding to what unfolds… including surprise weather. Time is the one thing all event organizers can agree they’re short on. There never seems to be enough minutes in a day to get everything done, so we’re a master at using what you do to best effect. The organizing committee has learned many things from this event. The major thing was about how to conduct a national event. It was the first time ever they have conducted such a huge national event. Also, the committee had learned many technical works like how a website is handled and made. It also included works like making posters, video presentation, making google forms, schedule of the event and many other minute technical works. Whereas the non-technical team had done an amazing job by decorating the place of the event. They experienced a lot about organizing the event. They experienced that in the given time they had completed their work apart from the decoration they also managed the accommodation of the participants that came from the outer states of Telangana.  Apart from these they learnt how to manage the fun events like cultural events and games for the participants.

While coming with the participants they had experienced how they can manage time both in Hack–Battle and elocution competition. Apart from these they also learnt how to find a solution on the given problem and the participants involved in the elocution learnt many things.

Conclusion:

The event itself helps the committee as well as to understand which things they need to pay more attention to and which things are really up to the mark. It was excellently executed and great experience, never ever have I ever witnessed such an online event of this magnitude. IUCEE HITAM is a leaderboard which makes it interesting and competitive. It was phenomenal, ultimate on various other series Hack battle had shown an immense knowledge with competitive spirit .Elocution had made the public speaking skills very dynamic that gives us self-boost and confidence to speak in front of a large audience. TED talks was amazingly done by bringing speakers and students together the best and brightest in a broad spectrum of fields. It helps us pause and listen to the percolation of ideas in fields we may know little about exploring the value behind these talks for students. The Technical Quiz is very informative. Games and cultural events both possess strengths in the area of promoting community within an environment. The atmosphere created by each is a key factor in the ability of these events to spread community spirit within a region.
